IAUE Journal of Contemporary Issues is a journal comprising articles which are more often than not chosen from papers presented at the National/International Conference of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rumuolumeni, Port Harcourt. It is published periodically (twice a year).
Africa socioeconomic life has remained largely underdeveloped and backward with millions of citizen living in abject poverty with attendant high rate of unemployment and lack of basic needs. African leaders and policy makers have made efforts to implement several policies, programmes and strategies, yet the outcomes have not yielded the desired result. The objective of this journal is therefore:
- To bring the views of scholars on how to reinvent Africa Development for Global Competitiveness
- To serve as a forum for the dissemination of research findings in the fields of Social Sciences
- To provide a platform for the discussion of innovative ideas for Human capital development
